Crispy Tilapia Sofrito


Fried Tilapia are sometimes our quick, and easy run to dish when we run out of ideas to be creative in the kitchen. How about making your tilapia extra special with this fish recipe.


Serves: 4-6 pax

INGREDIENTS:
½ kg whole tilapia, cleaned
1 MAGGI MAGIC SARAP 8g
cooking oil for frying
3 tbsp corn oil
5 garlic cloves, crushed
1 large onion, chopped
5 ripe tomatoes, chopped
thumb sized ginger, grated
pinch of MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
salt, pepper and sugar to taste

PROCEDURE
Rub tilapia with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat oil. Fry marinated tilapia until crispy and golden brown. Transfer to a paper lined plate to drain excess oil.
In a different pan, heat corn oil. Sauté garlic, onions and tomatoes. Cook until fragrant and
wilted. Add ginger.
Season with a pinch of MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, salt, pepper and sugar. Serve sofrito on top of fried tilapia and serve immediately.
