Here is a different take of your usual tuna sandwich. Add some bits of chopped apples to add some crunch, and some sweetness in your sandwich. The kids will love this, and so will you!
Serves 4-6Pax
INGREDIENTS:
1 canned tuna, drained
1 piece unpeeled apple, chopped
¼ cup crushed pineapple, drained
¼ cup chopped celery
pepper to taste
salt to taste
1/8 tsp paprika
1 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp cayenne
1/4 cup NESTLÉ Non Fat Milk
lettuce
8 slices wheat bread
PROCEDURE
In a bowl, combine tuna, apple, pineapple and celery. Season with pepper, salt, paprika, sugar and cayenne. Mix in NESTLÉ Non Fat Milk. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
To assemble sandwich, toast bread. Arrange lettuce on top of a toast to protect the bread and keep it from sagging.
Top with 2-3 tablespoon of the prepared tuna filling. Cover with another piece of toast.
